Chris D. Collins, MD is the Founder and Medical Director of Collins Advanced Dermatology Institute. He earned his B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin in 2000 graduating Magna Cum Laude. He earned his M.D. from the University of Texas at Houston Health Science Center, MD Anderson in 2004, graduating with Honors. He completed his Transitional Internship at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas at Ft. Bliss in 2005. He completed his Dermatology Residency at Brooke Army-Wilford Hall Medical Centers in San Antonio, Texas in 2008, earning the Montie-Lewis Award as the top dermatology military resident in the combined US Army and US Air Force Residency Program. He is board certified in Dermatology. While serving in the US Army, Dr. Collins was deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2009 and continued his active duty service through 2012.
Dr. Collins enjoys all aspects of dermatology including general, adult, pediatric, cosmetic and surgical dermatology. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (FAAD), American Board of Dermatology (ABD), Association of Military Surgeons of the United States (AMSUS), American Society of Dermatologic Surgeons (ASDS), Skin Cancer Foundation (SCF), as well as a Member of the American Society of Mohs Surgery (ASMS). He is a member of the Texas and American Medical Associations (TMA, AMA), Travis County Medical Society (TCMS).
Dr. Collins especially enjoys spending time with his daughter, family and friends. He is an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys hunting, fishing, watching sports and traveling.

Amy Sherman is a licensed aesthetician and laser technician with a passion for cosmetic dermatology. For over ten years, Amy has specialized in a variety of result-oriented skin care techniques and methods, including facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion and a variety of laser treatments. She also has experience doing Ultherapy, dermaplaning and microneedling. Amy stays abreast of the latest in skin care technology, treatment and trends by attending educational seminars and courses regularly. Her thirst for knowledge results in a very consultative and educational treatment style, which is hugely beneficial to the patients she treats and the practice as a whole. When not at work Amy enjoys spending time with her family and dogs. In her spare time, she enjoys painting, photography and refinishing old furniture.
