Kybella is used in adults to improve the appearance and profile of moderate to severe fat below the chin (submental fat), also called “double chin”.
How does Kybella work?
Kybella is injected under your chin in small amounts in a process that table about 15 to 20 minutes. The amount of injections the patient received varies on the desired effects. When inject, Kybella destroys the fat cells under your chin—reducing fullness. When these fat cells are destroyed they can no longer accumulate fat; therefore, further treatment is not necessary after the patient has reached their desired results. Treatment sessions are given at least one month apart. Patients should not receive more than six treatments total.What are common side effects?
